It is an understatement to say that the past one and a half years have been ‘unprecedented’. Toward the end of 2019, COVID-19 hit the world and went on to be declared as a pandemic in March 2020. As many parts of the world went into some form of lockdown, it challenged the scientific community putting research and education on hold, while placing lives at risk.
