ABSTRACT:

Background: Endometriosis poses significant challenges to female fertility, affecting millions of women worldwide. Understanding its impact on reproductive health is crucial for developing effective treatments and interventions.

Aim: This study aimed to investigate the impact of endometriosis on female fertility and explore innovative treatments and interventions to mitigate its effects.

Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on a cohort of women diagnosed with endometriosis and experiencing fertility issues. Data on demographic characteristics, disease severity, fertility treatments, and outcomes were collected from medical records. Innovative treatments and interventions, including surgical techniques, hormonal therapies, and assisted reproductive technologies (ART), were evaluated for their efficacy in improving fertility outcomes.

Results: The analysis revealed a significant negative impact of endometriosis on female fertility, with decreased conception rates and increased rates of pregnancy loss observed among affected women. Innovative treatments such as laparoscopic excision of endometriotic lesions, hormonal suppression therapy, and in vitro fertilization (IVF) with embryo transfer showed promising results in improving fertility outcomes. Additionally, advancements in fertility preservation techniques provided new options for women with endometriosis who wish to preserve their fertility while undergoing treatment.

Conclusion: Endometriosis substantially impairs female fertility, but innovative treatments and interventions offer hope for improving reproductive outcomes in affected women. Early diagnosis, personalized treatment approaches, and multidisciplinary care are essential for optimizing fertility preservation and achieving successful pregnancies in women with endometriosis.
